On Saturday we had a great time of fun and fellowship, when our new friends, the Eddy's came over (or should I say DOWN, since they live up in Lapeer) for dinner! First off we all gathered on the deck for some yummy chocolate chip cookies and apple cider,















and some of us young people attempted
to play Badminton, which resulted in a very
hilarious, yet not very productive game!!

and salad, and afterwards, Apple and Pumpkin pies.

Above all, our bond of faith in our LORD Jesus Christ stood out the most and drew us together for a time of devotion in the evening, as we sang, quoted scripture, and prayed!

We are truely blessed to know such a wonderful family as the Eddy's and may the LORD's Blessing always be upon you, our dear friends!!!

Uncle Tony's Wedding

Our dear friend and adopted Uncle was married this past Saturday. The wedding was beautiful! Christ was honored in the music, the gospel was preached and the bride was lovely!

The ceremony started at 9:00am and was followed by a scrumptious breakfast at the nearby Holiday Inn. Here are a few pictures from the special event . . . . .

Happy Birthday Charity!

Last Friday, Sept. 30, marked another Birthday celebration for the firstborn child in our family. 23 years ago, a little baby girl (with a lot of dark hair:-) was born to Paul and Cathy Sauve. As is true in some families, the firstborn turns out to be the smart one, and Charity wasn't going to disappoint anyone. She was talking in complete sentences by the age of 18 months, reading children stories by herself before her 3rd Birthday, and could turn a perfect cartwheel at the age of 5.

Well she still is quite a talker, and reads at an alarming rate, not so sure about the cartwheels though . . . .

Here she is with her Birthday gifts, most of which were from Vision Forum. ;) She had a lovely day, eating out with Dad for lunch, and then enjoying a birthday pie, "Chocolate Peanut butter." (you'll have to ask her about it, it is kind of a long story)

God's Blessings on you, dear sister, as you commence yet another year of life. We love you!

Anniversary Round-up!!!

Last Saturday our family was blessed to be able to participate in a very exciting and surprise filled event!! It was held in honor of our dear friends, Chuck and Michelle DeLadurantey's 30th wedding anniversary! The theme was " The good old days in Texas" where they spent the early part of their marriage, therefore, as you can imagine, there was a whole herd of cowboys and girls there, with a few natives thrown in for good measure! =) As to the surprises, this whole event was arranged by their loving children and friends with such complete silence and stealth that their parents had not a clue what was going on and as words cannot express, were totally surprised!!! What a night of fun it was as we talked, ate, and played games. But in the end, it all came back to the Glory and Majesty of Christ, who had brought these two special people together and to Himself, to shine His Truth, to teach their children His Laws, which was most noticeably presented through the honor they showed to their parents! May God Bless you Chuck and Michelle as you continue to serve Him, with many more years on this earth together! Happy 30th Anniversary!

Here is half a bushel of Roma tomatoes being prepared for the sauce pot. We canned about 9 pints of sauce that day and 7 Quarts of diced tomatoes. The other half bushel of Romas are sitting in the garage waiting to be made into salsa, and probably more sauce. Tomatoes anyone? 

Five Lakes Fellowship Baptism

Sunday, September 11, 2005 marks a special day in history and the kingdom of our LORD, as the youngest of our family, Josiah, was baptized, along with 5 other children from our fellowship!
