Pretty smiles, in a pretty room!

Grace is always on the look out for pretty places to take pictures. Whether its a gorgeous field along the side of the road, or...
a beautifully decorated room, she is sure to grab her camera a model or two and start snapping pictures. This certain room happened to be the "Lapeer Pregnancy Resource Center" where we volunteer in the clothes closet. Grace fell in love with this room and wanted to take pictures in it,
and she dragged me into it (of course).

Smile!!!

The green and maroon colors where especially to Graces liking. We had great fun having a impromptu photo shoot.

A Birthday Bash!

Yesterday (July 15) was Mom's and Aunt Carmen's Birthday!
So we all headed over to Pine Grove park by the St. Clair river.
As we were driving to Port Huron we saw this sign. How nice of then to remember Mom's birthday=)

A Kite Surfer under the bridge.

Cheese!!

The birthday girls!!

Blow those candles out.

Twacy and Aunty Carm.

After lunch we went over to the baseball field and did some practicing.

Faith Ann the pitcher.

Keep your eye on the ball there Dewey!

Uncle Tim hits a grand slam!! (well not quite, but it was a good hit)

We had a wonderful time celebrating Mom and Aunt Carmen's birthday. We are very thankful for Mumsie and all the things she has taught us throughout the years, and thankful to God for giving her to us and allowing her these many years with us.

!!!Faith!!!

Faith Ann Sauvé
The second oldest in a family of 7 children. Full of energy, love and well, unpredictability.

Faith (as I am sure most of you know) is our fourth of July firecracker. From the day of her birth she has been a surprise, and always on the go. (If you want the full exciting story about her birth you'll just have to ask Mom)

She is always ready to try something new, explore and give it her best shot. Some of her newest adventures are, trying to ride a unicycle (heavy emphasis on the trying), and endeavoring to complete a perfect cartwheel (in a skirt no less)!!

For those of you who don't know all about Faith, here is a list of a few of her titles, quirks and graces. Faith Ann is known as the sewing mistress (and lightning speed one at that), the canning queen, and the effortless estimator ( I made that one up, as I am horrendous at estimating). Faith's list of "the most annoying things in the world" might give you a peek into her mind: 1.You cannot stand in your own shadow - 2.You cannot harmonize with yourself (that one bothered me for a while too=) and 3.You cannot appreciate you own accent. There was one more, but she can't remember it, so it must not bother her too much anymore=)

This picture just goes to prove what Mother has always said about Faith; she is an accident waiting to happen. I could give you a list of her injuries but she might not appreciate it. One of Faiths' favorite things to do is to praise her Maker, through singing playing and poetry. She also enjoys being a mother's helper and using the gift of sewing that God gave her for His glory.

Faith's birthday, being on the fourth of July, was quite busy, running from one thing to the next. We finally were able to settle down in the evening and celebrate another year with the amazing person that God has placed in our life, in short, our dear sister/daughter Faith Ann.

Fourth of July continuation!!

Our 4th morning started bright and early as we rushed off to the annual reading of the declaration at the historic court house.

It was a bit chilly that morning, but we still had a fair amount of people turn out.

The color guard.

We were led in singing the national anthem as well as many other patriotic songs.

Our good friend Mr. Ervin, who put together the event, dressed out as a colonial patriot and read the Declaration of Independence.

Vicki a friend from downriver came to spend the day with us. (sorry that the picture is a bit fuzzy, I believe Josh took it=)

Someone brought this cute little chihuahua along with his remote control motorcycle to the courthouse. I know he isn't' patriotic, but it was so unique I thought you might want to see him.

Then dressed in red white and blue regalia we headed down to Hadley for their Annual parade.

The grand Marshall of the parade.

These adorable mini horses pulled a covered wagon in the parade.

There were also lots and lots of tractors, green ones and red ones and brown ones and rusty ones and... well you get the idea.

Well, we rushed away from the parade and drove up to Marlette to participate in a patriotic chorale.

We did it at this adorable depot.

Because we were all singing we did not get any pictures of us performing. We had a wonderful time and hoped that we glorified God through it all.
May God bless this nation and turn it from its wicked ways and bring it back into His will.

The Beginning of our Celebrations!

Our Fourth of July celebrations began on Friday this year with a patriotic gathering with our friends.
I had a great time decorating the deck before everyone came. Josiah and I helped Dad hang up this flag, and I hung streamers everywhere, which ended up stretching out and getting in the way=) But hey they looked nice at the start!

Grace made this lovely bouquet!

And we decorated the tables to perfection. (well almost anyways)

I even decorated Bubba's hair.

Sorry about the fuzzy pictures but Bubba wasn't thrilled with the braids and wouldn't hold still. I think he thought it made him look like a girl;)

A sweet helper!

Josiah was in charge of filling the water balloons (I don't know if that was such a good idea) but he did have the great idea of making a flag with the balloons.

Then everyone arrived and the party began!!

Baby Raya is the sweetest thing. Don't you just love her expression.

Faith's pretty flag cake.

As soon as we were done with supper, the games began. Here we are playing one of our favorite games water balloon volleyball!

Catch that balloon!

After we had run out of water balloons we went directly to our traditional races. First, wheelbarrow racing.

Run Grace run!!!

Josh and Uncle Warren enjoyed a game of Washer Toss.

Waiting in suspense for her ride.

The spectators of the races.

Sam pushing his little brother. Careful there Sam you're wheelbarrow is a bit tipsy.

Mumsie and Aunt Carmen watch the races. (They are Twins by the way)

Holding Baby Sister.

We also did a three legged race (which we got no pictures of) and then some relays with bean bags.

Ellie on stilts!

Most people had left by dark, but we did some fountain fireworks anyways.

So if anyone made it all the way down this long post, thank you for taking the time. I am sorry it is so long, but there were so many good pictures and they were so hard to choose from, that I just had to put on this many. I hope you enjoyed it anyways, and stay tune for pictures from the rest of our fourth celebrations.
