60 years ago on the day of August 6th Millie Harrison and George Learned were joined together in marriage at the Griswold street Baptist Church and so last Sunday we went to Griswold for a celebration of the said anniversary.
Grandpa and Grandma were very pleased to be able to see some of their old friends again.
Some of the people there had even been schoolmates with Grandpa.
All of Grandma's sister were able to make it to the celebration.
Joshua sang two of grandpa's solos that he used to sing at the churches when they came home on furlough.
Grandpa enjoyed listening and mouthing along while Joshua sang.
Grandma made a special request for Grandpa and Joshua to sing together. So they opened the Hymn book, picked out a familiar song and started singing. It was wonderful seeing two generations singing Gods praises together.
We were so glad to be able to celebrate and reminisce the years of marriage God has blessed Grandma and Grandpa with.
