The Adventures in Port Huron with Grace and Christianna
1411 Griswold St. is where my uncle grew up, and is now the summer home for my grandparents when visiting from Florida. This past week Faith, Christianna and I had the opportunity to stay with them and help out with cooking and other things since my Grandma fractured a vertebrae in her back. Faith was able to stay from Monday till Wednesday and then Christianna and I switched with her till we were picked up on the way to church on Sunday. Between taking my great aunt to the doctor, exploring the hidden treasures of the old house, baking and enjoying a stroll along the river, we also enjoyed spending time reading, drawing or just talking with our Grandparents.
On Thursday, while Grandma and Grandpa were away at a luncheon, Christianna and I opened the door of mystery and headed up to the attic to see what it contained. Though most of it seemed to be filled with holiday decor and things retired from use, such as lamps, small tables and chairs, there were also somethings that appeared to hold tales of eras before our existence, filled full with stories that might never be told.

The Weekend's Celebration!

God Bless America....America Honor God!!!
Psalm 33:11-22
The counsel of the LORD stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
The LORD looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.
From the place of His dwelling He looks
On all the inhabitants of the earth;
He fashions their hearts individually;
He considers all their works.
No king is saved by the multitude of an army;
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy,
To deliver their soul from death,
And to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
Because we have trusted in His holy name.
Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You.
Happy Birthday Faith!!!
I know I usually only put pictures up of the celebrated person on their special day, but since this was also independence Day and I thought this photo looked neat I'm sticking it in here! John has always seemed to show more of the Learned side in him, in resemblance and actions so I thought this picture was rather interesting since grandpa Learned is in the background. Can you see the similarities?
