Visiting with the Hyslops

This past Tuesday we spent a lovely time at the Hyslop's. They had invited us over for the afternoon and evening, with the repeated reminders to "bring your snow stuff!" (the following pictures show why) We all had a wonderful time, playing and fellowshiping with this dear family, and are so thankful for their friendship and love in the Lord.

Here Christianna and Abbie take off down the hill. There were a couple bumps to either aim at or avoid, (usually you ended up doing the opposite of what you had intended:-) and a brier patch to get stuck in at the bottom of the hill if you veered too far off the main track. Fun, fun, fun!! Posted by Picasa

Josiah had a blast going down the hill with John and FaithAnn on his "green sled". As soon as the sled came to a stop, he would insist on "doing it again!" (Even when he and John went flying off the bump, and took a spill:-) Posted by Picasa

SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! An impromptu battle ensued during a lull in the sledding. A.J. Joshua, and Josiah S. were in command of a small ridge near the sledding hill, while John, Jacob and FaithAnn, using bushes and trees for cover, charged up the incline!  Posted by Picasa

After a tramp through the woods, John got to try out the snowmobile. Christianna, Abbie, Josiah S. and Jordan enjoyed a ride . . . Posted by Picasa

. . . while Jacob took Joshua for a spin on the four-wheeler. This was right before we went in for supper. Lasagna, garlic bread and salad. Mmmmmm! Delicious!  Posted by Picasa

Here Josiah, Jordan and Abbie show Christianna how to work the electric keyboard. With multiple instrument choices, including violin, oboe, clarinet, and even percussion, it was like having a whole orchestra at your finger tips! Posted by Picasa

"I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations. For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and Your truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be above all the earth." Psalm 57:9-11 Posted by Picasa
