Josiah turns 13!

Last Wednesday the youngest of our house turned a whopping 13! Josiah was born just after midnight on January 23th 1995 and ever since he has brought joy and lots of laughter to our family.
Reading is one of Josiah’s favorite pastimes as well as listening to the Jonathan Park radio dramas. He finally received Jonathan Park #1 for his Birthday which completes his set. Since listening to Jonathan Park he has become quite knowledgeable on Dinosaurs and the creation vs. Evolution issue and loves to tell you about them.

He hopes to be a farmer when he grows up and right now loves helping the girls at the Klaty’s goat farm, especially with the chickens. Here is Josiah with his favorite chicken, the lead Hen.

He has really enjoyed being out in the country this last year and has added frog and turtle catching to his repertoire of hobbies. As a result lots of things he received for his Birthday had a turtle or frog theme, including his cake which was quite a work of art!: )

Josiah and Matthew (Josiah's best friend) and their matching bags. The other side has a turtle on it.

Josiah has grown a lot this past year; actually he has almost passed Mom up in height, and is becoming quite a strong young man. Our prayer for him is that he would continue to grow spiritually as a true Christian gentleman and a soldier for the LORD.

Year #20 - Happy Birthday John!

John turned the big "20" last Friday. We had a little difficulty fitting in a time to celebrate due to his (crazy) work schedule. (There should be a law against working on your birthday!)

~No, he did not get a Cowboy hat for his b-day. Grace just liked this picture:-)

His "cool" cake.

A very "cool" tie!
Whoa! Check out the "cool" belt buckle! Ride 'em Cowboy!

Happy Birthday, little brother! ;-) What a blessing and asset you are to our family! I pray that God will clearly lead and guide your steps in the coming days and years. May you grow in strength and wisdom, and be a voice to all who see you - preparing the way of the LORD!

Love,

Faith

A little behind...

...Here is whats been happening...
Back when we had all that water after the snow melt, Joshua bought Josiah an early birthday present...

Even though our back yard was still flooded, the water had started to recede and grass and leaves were getting stuck on the propeller, so Josiah headed down to the Brysons pond to try out his new gift.

Happy Birthday 'Siah!

A couple weeks ago we had a gathering at our house with a family from our church. The grandparents have been coming for a while and their daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren have been visiting. We love them already and greatly enjoy their fellowship! The four children are so cute and we all had a great time with them as we enjoyed a dinner together and then the toys came out along with some dress up things while the adults talked. What a blessed time of friendship and fellowship in Christ Jesus!

Following are some pictures of their adorable children...sorry I didn't get any pictures of Cade.
Yesenia dressing up in all our "girly" stuff!

Legos, legos and more legos...Lincoln and Josiah were best buds at once!

"Tiny" Xavier loved our stairs and enjoyed sporting some of our many hats.

Smile!

Vote in the Michigan Primary!

Tomorrow is upon us, the Michigan primary is here, and RON PAUL needs your votes!
Don't just stay home and think that it does not matter, it does! Don't vote for the lesser of two evils, or for who you think has the best chance! Vote instead for who is the strongest at supporting and promoting our nations Constitution and for the godly standards that founded our Country! Vote for the one who desires to tear down the organizations that are killing our nation and who endeavors to help heal and restore our money system!
Vote for Ron Paul for President!

The last couple of days...

Baby enjoys sitting up high and has taken advantage of our slide platform.

Last Thursday Uncle Tim and Aunt Carmen came over for dinner and a fun sledding time! Here are the twins. Can you guess who is older? =)
Wee!!! Tia had a blast!

SCRAP BOOKING!!!

Ok so we're behind a year, but its been great looking back at 2006 as our family has been putting together a scrapbook this past week or so! I haven't counted the pages yet but I sure hope it will all fit in our album as we have creatively cataloged nearly 400 some pictures!!

Boo hoo our slide is gone! =( On Monday it started to thaw and thaw and thaw! Until our back yard looked like this yesterday! As we watched the water rise throughout the day, "Lily Spring Island" came to mind and using the canoe to get to the compost pile wasn't far from our minds!

Baby loves water and it was great seeing her out there enjoying herself after being frightfully sick just a couple weeks ago. She is totally better now and acting like her perky self again!

Faith out wading in our garden!

Well, instead of using our canoe, Josiah used some of our log discs and made a little bridge to the compost pile. The only problem was that they kept trying to float away! =)
Though we don't particularly care for all the water on our land, we are thankful for God's blessings of safely as our power has not gone out and our basement is still dry!

A little late but still applicable

God is light. We cannot add to His brightness, but we may act as reflectors, which, though they have no light of their own, yet, when the Sun shines upon them, they reflect His beams, and send them where, without such reflection, they might not have come. When the Lord shines upon us, we will cast that light upon dark places, and make those who sit in the shadow of death to rejoice in Jesus our Lord.

We hope that God has been in some measure glorified in some of us during the past year, but we trust He will be glorified by us far more in the year which now begins. We would have it so happen that, when our life’s history is written, people will not think of us as ‘self made men,’ but as the handiwork of God, in whom His grace is magnified. Not in us may man see the clay, but the Potter’s hand. They said, ‘We hardly notice how he preaches, but we feel that God is great.’

New Years Day we awoke to almost a foot of snow! Our snow removal team plowed out the driveway and then got to work on rebuilding our snow slide off the deck.

Dad going down! The photographer even tried it but the pictures did not turn out. =)

Hopefully this slide will last a little longer than the first one. Oh yes, and for all our friends out there just dying to come over and try it out...just call ahead!

The Blessed ending of 2007

Last evening the Sauve family dined at a feast provided by the Lord of all creation. We enjoyed a hearty meal of Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, squash, rolls, salad, jello and of course gravy! We all were thoroughly stuffed at the end and had a blast cleaning up as Josh video taped and Baby entertained us! The remainder of the evening was spent in playing a few games, Dad proclaiming his blessing and prayers on all us children and then we tried to put down some more food as I had made Chocolate Eclairs for dessert along with the best ever home made eggnog!

Faith preparing Dinner.

Josiah playing with the Jello!

The table all set and ready...

The whole family!

"...So can we eat now?.... Hey don't blow out the candles!...Wow, I'm getting stuffed looking at all this food!"

The aftermath! Who murdered the Turkey?!!!

The most delicious!

As another year is dawning, we pray that as our LORD God has so richly blessed our family, we pray that He will also bless you, our dear friends and family, and show His GREATNESS, LOVE, HOLINESS and SALVATION to you all this coming year!

~We sang this hymn on Sunday. It is the last hymn in our songbook. Though it does not talk about the end or beginning of the year it is a life song.

When morning lights the eastern skies, O Lord, Thy mercy shows;
On Thee alone my hope relies, let me Thy kindness know.
Teach me the way that I should go; I lift my soul to Thee;
For refuge from my cruel foe to Thee, O Lord, I flee.
Thou art my God, to Thee I pray, Teach me Thy will to heed;
And in the right and perfect way may Thy good Spirit lead.
For Thy Name's sake, O gracious Lord, Revive my soul and bless,
And in Thy faithfulness and love redeem me from distress. Amen.
