Water trip/Birthday party!

The other day was our dear neighbor/friend's birthday! For this special day Mr. Bryson wanted to go on a water outing. Around noon we headed out with a passenger car, old truck with a row boat and canoe in back and a 12 passenger van with canoe inside. Of our family only Dad, Faith, Joshua and I (Grace) went along with Timothy, Daniel and of course their father.

Two canoes and a row boat.

Oxymoron?!?

Dad playing around with the sign. =)

The weather was just perfect and being overcast for most of the time was nice.

Some nature photos while waiting to launch.

I did not take my digital camera with us on the water so no pictures of the enjoyable and hilariously amusing time we had! Mr. Bryson, Faith and I started out in the row boat and us girls got to learn how to row while the birthday 'boy' relaxed in the front of the craft and received the ride of his life! The story's to long to tell right now but lets just say that I think we might have finally gotten the hang of it when we took a break and stopped and explored a little island (we even named it!) and then when the other guys met up with us we then headed back to the dock and not one of us got back totally dry! (Notice my skirt is rather wet in the above picture). It was fun anyways and we all cannot wait 'til another trip is scheduled!

With the shirt we gave him. Classic tractors!
God has truly blessed us with these dear friends and it was a pleasure to be able to help celebrate Mr. Bryson's special day!

Family gathering for the 108th Birthday celebration!

Sunday was Mom and Aunt Carmen's birthday. We headed over to Tia's(A. Carmen's Spanish title) house after church with Grandpa and Grandma (who had just come up from Florida the night before) and joined Uncle Warren and Aunt Myrt for lunch and gift giving!

The sisters catching up on things.

Grandpa being his usual self! =)

Lunch. Fried Chicken, potato salad, baked beans, veggies and chips. Ymmm!

No the cake is not tipping. Its just the picture(I hope!)

John's faces! =) :P =}

One of Tia's gifts was a carton of Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream!

Mom's ice cream was "everything but the..." Now that's some good ice cream!

"Happy birthday to yooooouuuuu!

Triple layer, chocolate/white cake with butter icing and raspberries on the sides.

Aunty Carmen enjoying one of her gifts!

Right before we left Tia received a surprise gift of a visit from her "adopted" daughter and her two little boys! We had seen so many pictures of these precious little boys but because they live so far away we have never been able to meet them! It was really neat to finally see them in person!

Levi and Benji love their Grandma dearly and came all dressed up as gifts to Aunt Carmen!
Waving goodbye - Uncle Tim and Eldita
