A Berry Fun Day!

Recently we had the enjoyable opportunity to go Berry picking! Because Charity is on a strict Organic diet, she can only have Organic fruit, so recently she was able to find some berry farms that weren't too far away that grew their plants in that natural way. Following is a glimpse of that days event.

RASPBERRIES!!

Then God said,
“Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed,
and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind,
whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
Genesis 1:11

And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Genesis 1:29

Near the end of our time at the raspberry fields some of us noticed that raspberries were not the only things "growing" on the bushes! After the first discovery was accompanied with a startling exclamation it then became a delightment to find (and for some to try to hold) these cute little frogs that were sitting on the leaves and of course I(Grace) took pictures of them.

BLUEBERRIES!!

After we left the Raspberry fields we then headed off to an organic blueberry farm in the Grass Lake area. The owners were really nice people and we all had a fun time as we walked along the rows of bushes, reached for those high out of reach berries, and of course as we were told to, popped a few of these wonderful vitamin bursting, sweet or tart tasting fruit into our mouths! Yumm!!

The Blueberry Man!

When we were done picking, we headed over to the scales and weighed in 9 lbs of Blueberries!

Even though we had all had our share of these two delicious fruits, by the time we were done with our 'Field trips' our stomachs were telling us it was past lunch time. Therefore before we headed home we made a quick stop at our favorite health food store, Whole Foods, and satified our hunger with a few handfuls of cheese, chips, meats or anything else that they had out to sample!
We thank God for such a wonderful day, in weather and safety as we all enjoyed our time spent as a family and delighting in some of His amazing creations!

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:4-5
