Annual Harrison Reunion

This time of year holds many things on the calendar for our family including the annual Harrison Reunion that is held in honor of my Grandmother's family. This year the event was, as always, a fun and relaxing time to get to know our family better and partake in the different games and activities throughout the afternoon.

The cookie Judge! A contest was held to determine who had made the best cookies and dad was chosen to be a judge. Even though our recipe did not win, it sure was a fun (and tasty) idea!

Letting it fly. The play that ended the game was a painful one. Joshua was up to bat, John pitching. He threw it straight, Josh swung and hit a line drive straight back to John who, reaching out in a quick reflex to snag the ball, which was going beyond the range of his glove, received this slamming force right on the base of his thumb and palm. Though at first we were afraid it was broken, as it swelled, spasmed and bruised, after applying a few compresses of Comfrey and taking some homeopathic remedies, it appears to have healed wonderfully with only a broken blood vessel and a little stiffness. Praise God for His awesome protections and instruments of healing!

The latest happenings in our Church

Following are a few glimpses of the more recent happenings in our church, and the blessed times we have had worshipping and in fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ!




Six families, 34 persons = Berean Family Church. Dedicated to serving the Lord through Christ centered, family integrated worship.

Entering the twilight zone! As the rain poured down, we drove down country roads that went through woods, along open fields and small towns... the scenery was breathtaking!  

July 30th - The baptism of Matthew Wagner. 

 

A light sprinkle started as we all stood together by the edge of the pond awaiting Matthew's baptism. Lightening was flashing in the distance but never came near, as the proclamation of God's grace was declared!

Mr. Wagner and Tim played a beautiful piece of music on their brass instruments while Mrs. Wagner accompanied them on the piano.
